De Marque Oak Herringbone
De Marque Oak Herringbone
De Marque Oak Herringbone is a pre-finished engineered oak parquetry from Preference Floors, designed to make a strong design statement without the time, mess, or compromise of traditional site-finished parquetry. Each block is engineered from a 4mm European Oak wear layer bonded to a multi-ply hardwood substrate, with a micro-bevelled tongue and groove profile on all four sides that allows the herringbone pattern to be installed cleanly and consistently in any room.
The herringbone range is offered in 13 colours spanning soft warm naturals like Pure Natural and Latte, considered greys like Ash Grey, Chateau Grey, and Colonial Grey, richer warm tones in Cognac and Dark Brown, a soft warm Vanilla, and contemporary cool tones in Riesling, Sauvignon, Storm, and Vintage. All colours are pre-finished with a low-VOC water-based matte coating and lightly wire-brushed for a soft, tactile surface that reads as natural rather than glossy.
Each block measures 600 x 120mm with a finished thickness of 15mm (15/4mm wear layer). Six of the thirteen colours (Cognac, Dark Brown, Latte, Parana, Riesling, Sauvignon, and Vintage) are also available in a thicker 21/6mm format with a 6mm wear layer, suited to higher-traffic installations and homes that may want to sand and refinish the floor decades down the line.
De Marque Herringbone is installed by direct adhesive fix only on a flat, dry substrate, and is suitable for residential, multi-residential, and light commercial applications. The product is backed by a 25-year limited structural warranty, a 20-year residential wear warranty, and a 5-year commercial wear warranty.
