Mikado

Mikado is a 100% solution dyed nylon multi level loop pile carpet from Redbook Carpets, Australian made and distinguished by a defined linear ribbing that gives the surface a textile-like patterned character. Five tightly curated colours range from the soft pale neutrals of Grasscloth and Atmosphere through the balanced warm mid-tones of Wild Oats, into the architectural deeper greys of Tarpaulin, and finishing with the rich anchoring depth of Cuban Coffee.

The multi level loop construction is built on a 5/32 inch gauge with an 8mm pile height and a 1.6cm by 1.9m pattern repeat, creating the subtle vertical ribbing that gives Mikado its signature look. Where pebbled and textured loops lean into organic randomness, Mikado commits to disciplined linear pattern, the surface reading as quietly architectural underfoot. At 10mm total thickness the carpet has genuine presence, while the solution dyed nylon fibre delivers the colourfastness and resilience that make SDN a practical choice for busy spaces.

Mikado carries a strong 6-star Residential Extra Heavy Duty Including Stairs ACCS rating, combined with a 1-star Light Duty Contract rating, suitable for hallways, stairs and high-traffic family living areas. The carpet is fire rated and finished with stain and fade resistance built into the fibre, supported by Redbook's 15-year limited residential warranty covering fibre loss, stain resistance, fade resistance and insect deterrent performance.
