Herringbone Pewter Sisal

Herringbone Pewter Sisal is a beautifully textured natural fibre carpet with a cool silvery-grey palette and a classy, distinguished appearance. It creates a contemporary aesthetic that traditional floorcoverings cannot quite match, defining a space as a custom-designed sisal rug or working as a wall-to-wall installation on underlay.

The carpet is woven from 100% natural sisal fibre, harvested from the leaves of the Agave sisalana cactus grown in sub-tropical climates. Sisal is one of the strongest natural fibres available, and the classic herringbone pattern softens the often-formal feel of the weave with the natural warmth of sisal fibre. Supplied as 4-metre wide rolls cut to size, Herringbone Pewter Sisal can be installed wall-to-wall over a recycled cotton or rubber underlay. It can also be made up as a custom-bordered rug with edge finishes including 2" cotton, hessian, linen, leather, overlock, or tuck-under.

Herringbone Pewter Sisal is well suited to high-traffic areas including stair runners, hallways, bedrooms, and living rooms. The fibre is naturally hypoallergenic, anti-static, and breathable, and many households report a reduction in allergy symptoms after switching from synthetic floorcoverings to natural sisal. An optional natural spray protection with UV guard is available for installations in dining rooms and other higher-risk spaces.

Sisal is fully biodegradable and harvested from a renewable cactus crop, farmed with restricted pesticide use and minimal chemical processing throughout. Floorspace installs wall-to-wall sisal with needle-punch recycled cotton underlay, keeping the installation as low-impact as the material itself.
